3Style Wrestling Club and Meadowbrook High School wrestler Marcus Beckwith placed 6th at 215 lbs. at the 2010 USA Wrestling Cadet Nationals held at North Dakota State Univeristy in Fargo, ND. Robert Janis, who placed 3rd at the 2010 VISAA States for St. Christopher's also competed in Fargo for Team Virginia. Janis won the 2010 VAWA Cadet State title at 130 lbs. in May to earn the right to compete in Fargo.

The Virginia House of Delegates recently honored the St. Christopher's wrestling team for their outstanding 2009-10 wrestling season. Please click here, to read the entire document. Here is a execrpt from House Joint Resolution Number 376, which was entered into public record on March 2nd, 2010:

"WHEREAS, the St. Christopher’s School wrestling team won its ninth consecutive Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) Championship on February 20, 2010, shattering the previous record for consecutive state titles held by Woodberry Forest School; and

WHEREAS, despite losing a number of precious weeks of competition due to a series of snowstorms and cancellations, the St. Christopher’s wrestlers entered the VISAA Tournament fresh off a strong performance against Prep League rivals Woodberry Forest, Collegiate, and Fork Union in an impromptu match billed as the Virginia Prep League Quad; the team was inspired by senior Edward Custer (171), who pinned 2009 VISAA State runner-up Daniel Burke of Fork Union, as well as his opponent from Collegiate, and won his final match by a technical fall, routing Woodberry's Phil Rogers 20-3, to culminate his career with a record of 40 - 31, and be named St. Christopher’s Wrestler of the Week;"

3Style Wrestling Club is ready to begin the Spring 2010 training session. Sign ups and the first practice will be on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at St. Christopher's wrestling gym. The cost for the entire spring session is just $100! We will practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7:30 PM until June. Former St. Christopher's wrestler, Kevin Donahue, finished 4th at the 2010 NCAA Division III Championships becoming a two-time All-American for Cornell College.VMI's Joe Munno and Wesleyan's Zach Rolfe both placed in their college's conference tournaments as well. To read more, please click here.

Former Saints standout wrestler Kevin Donahue recently won the 141 lb. title at the Iowa Athletic Conference tournament and qualified for the NCAA Division III tournament for the second year in a row. To read more, please click here.

Led by five champions and twelve place winners, including tournament Outstanding Wrestler Trey Tarr, the St. Christopher's wrestling team turned in a dominating performance, winning the team title at the Willie Waters/Jay Copp Holiday Tournament on December 29-20 at James Wood HS in Winchester, VA. With four individual champions and eight other place winners, the St. Christopher's wrestling team brought home the team title at the STC Invite held in Scott Gymnasium on Saturday, December 12. The Saints amassed 254.5 points to outpace runner-up Franklin County by 42.5 points.
